Restore a Margin Pro purchase
Open the app, tap the avatar, choose Explore Margin Pro, and tap Restore purchases. Use the same Apple account you bought with. If Pro does not unlock, check that the subscription is active in your App Store account settings, then contact us.
Cancel Margin Pro
Subscriptions are managed by Apple. On your iPhone, open Settings, tap your name, then Subscriptions, and choose Margin. Deleting the app does not cancel a subscription.
Back up your workspace
Open the app, tap the avatar, choose Prepare workspace backup, then Share workspace backup and save the JSON file somewhere you control. The backup contains your private costs, so keep it private. Prepare a fresh backup after you make changes you care about.
Move to a new phone
Step one, export a workspace backup from the old phone. Step two, install Margin on the new phone. Step three, open business settings, choose Restore a workspace backup, and select the file. Restoring replaces the whole workspace on that phone, so export the current one first if you want to keep both.
Refunds
Refunds are handled by Apple. Request one at reportaproblem.apple.com or from your App Store purchase history.
The app says my saved workspace could not be opened
Margin never overwrites a workspace it cannot read. If the saved file cannot be opened, the app keeps a recovery copy on the phone and tells you. Check that your device has free storage, reopen Margin, and restore a workspace backup if you have one. Contact us if it happens again.
How the free plan works
The free plan supports five active jobs. Draft, sent, and approved jobs count toward that limit. Paid and closed jobs do not, so closing or settling a job frees a slot. Margin Pro adds unlimited active jobs and CSV reports. Your existing records stay accessible if a membership ends.
How collections and profit are calculated
Money is tracked in whole cents, and tax is rounded once at the quote level. Collections count each payment in the month it was received, so settling an invoice does not count an earlier deposit twice. Pending totals exclude money you have already collected. Estimated profit is your quote total before tax minus the costs you entered, and it covers jobs fully paid this month. Profit is an estimate, not a promise, and it is not tax advice.
